The New Moon in Aries tomorrow may be electric in feeling. It is with great game changer Uranus and features Venus in opposition to Jupiter and sextiling Pluto. You know those things that have felt like are a long time coming? Maybe they feel like they will never actually happen? This Moon opens a portal where linear time can be circumvented to allow space for quantum leaps in our lives. Check which house in your chart contains the sign of Aries to see what themes are emphasized. In general, Aries relates to themes like personal health, goals, ambitions, energy, chi-force and the expression of our unique self-hood.
There is quantum breakthrough potential abounding- it feels like to say the same old- “declare what you wish to release and plant new seeds” is so outdated and stale here. It feels more like- “prepare to blast off into a new dimension- so quickly that you burn what you don’t want and focus on what is most important to you because where you put your focus is where you will end up!” Now is the time to engage your ability to rapidly let go of old stories and usher in a new reality for your life- NOW.
The Moon squares Pluto just before diving into the Sun for rebirth. Solar/Lunar energies unite in the sign of the warrior to release tension from the deep places in ways that may be unforeseen. Let Aries give you the courage to face your fears. This is like one final pause inside the New Moon before they unite with Uranus and Mercury goes direct. Again check your chart for where Aries lies, but in general Aries is a part of the axis of Self/Other and major themes around how we create space to be ourselves in the world while still allowing others their own may be centerstage.
Venus opposing Jupiter may seek to polarize beliefs, ideologies and fears against the place of the heart. Do not let those that would tell you you are broken for having demons deter you. We all have them, whether we acknowledge them or not. Let this Moon give you the courage to face them with the cleansing waters of Eternity at your call. Mars sextile Neptune can align courage and the place of deep compassionate understanding. What we can give ourselves, we can give others.
Here I like to imagine a Warrior Monktress who defends the Sacred by being willing to acknowledge the wounded parts of herself, slaying them with compassion as they arise in her meditations. Sometimes they may show up unexpectedly in life, with fiery bursts of anger or fierceness, and she owns this too as yet another beautiful opportunity to embrace her Whole Being with loving grace. It is not squelched, for it is this fierceness that allows her to defend the Sacred for all of Nature. She simply observes and pledges to continue to do her best in practice and protection of the Sacred. Maybe that Sacred is Love, and maybe that Love must first be shown to the Self before offered in true service to others.
As we see in all ancient traditions, a warrior must undergo great training so that their energy is meticulously distilled, purified and reunited within their being before it can be appropriately channeled. Any commitments we wish to make to ourselves to cultivate our own fire are appropriate for this Fire Moon and the retrogrades Mercury will be making through the element of fire this year.
Through the cultivation of Fire practices, we refine our passion, desires, will-power, ego, sex-drive, anger, intuition, motivation and energy levels. Some traditions that come to mind to do this include yoga, Breath of Fire, Kundalini Kriyas, interval training, martial arts, Chi-Gong and guided meditation. Maybe we can choose just one and seek to see how deeply we can challenge ourselves to grow, to rise to the challenge and transform our fire so that its power can be properly used in service to the Cosmic Order.
Wherever you are, I hope that this New Moon brings deep peace into your being and that you find a wellspring of energy available to you to create the life you want for yourself.
Blessings and Electric Dreams
