Virgo New Moon- Blind But Not Visionless

In the halls of Amenti there stands a flame.  The flame that sparked all of Creation.  Lit by innocence. Fueled by wisdom. Maintained by devotion.  So long this flame has been guarded, that many have forgotten that it burns for them.  Thus they now seek to destroy it.  Believing that it represents something outside of them.  Something separate.  When in fact, it was lit by the divinity of each being.

This flame was maintained by members of a secret order in ancient times so that if anyone’s hearth flame should burn out, there would always be the light of love standing to relight it once again.  There is a flame of love being maintained still.  If we have lost our own, those who are dedicated to holding it in their hearts will help light yours again.  If you are guarding your own, don’t forget why it is there my love.

This Virgo New Moon is a significant one as we shift out of the Age of Pisces.  Being the opposite sign of the fishes, Virgo is the other half of the story of the last 2,500 years.  As such, it is imperative that we reach a state of completion and integration with those lessons as we transition into the Age of Aquarius (and its other half Leo).

Virgo-Pisces is the axis of the physical and the Metaphysical.  It is the duality of Spirit and Matter.  It is the synthesis of subjective and objective reality.  The mundane and synchronicities of the mystical.  The awakening of the knowing of the higher intelligence of life and how to incorporate that into everyday existence.  It is the development of wise discernment within the context of the greater intelligence of the Universe.

Richard Tarnas writes in his monumental work Cosmos and Psyche in regards to synchronicity and its implications,

“A capacity for acute yet balanced discernment has to be forged, founded not only on alertness to meaningful patterns but also on a disciplined mindfulness of the larger whole within which the individual seeks orientation.” (p.55)

Within the new Quantum Reality emerging now we have an entirely new world-view birthing.  In the Quantum paradigm, the ultimate expression of the Piscean Age is awakening us to the truth that there is no truth.  There is no fact.  Everything is relative.  All is created by consciousness.  And yet, the individual is not the ultimate power.  There is a larger universe at play, and we must continuously re-orient ourselves to it from within this new reality to stay afloat.

In the early days of crisp fall breezes, ripening apples and storms in the distance we are called to reorient our perspectives.  Virgo is a master of analysis, so let her aid you wherever you are in your process.  What does a truly balanced and fair world look like?  How do we cultivate balanced and acute discernment within the context of this vast whole we are a part of?  How do we find answers as we bridge into Quantum reality where reality is in the eye of the beholder and yet we are not the only ones in it?  We have some big lessons to integrate at this time. They will take time, and that is ok.

Luckily this Virgo New Moon holds special power for the intentions we seed into the fertile void.  This lunation sparks our drive to penetrate into the deeper crevices of our psyche.  It is time to turn inward for answers.  To focus on how we can heal ourselves to heal the world.  To find the root of any sickness within us.  To purify the source from which our desire to serve comes.  To tend the sacred fire within.

What fire do you keep lit in your heart no matter how the wind blows?  How deeply can we honor the sacredness of this life in dedication to the sacredness of all life?  Virgo knows the power of dedication, she knows the ways of healing, she transmits the templates of devotion as the highest expression of honor.  She is asked in this lunation to remember that our personal success is not separate from the whole.

The priestess does this through honoring the wisdom of the body.  If we feel overwhelmed, we must step back and reassess.  Sometimes the greatest work is invisible to others.  Sometimes to serve others, we must first care for ourselves.  Take some time to recommit yourself to the practices that keep you balanced, centered and clear.  We can both be devoted and non-attached.  Act from intention and still be open to new perspectives.

This New Moon chart features the ruler, Mercury in Libra along with Venus.  Relationships and balance are the work of the present.  Healthy relationship requires some sacrifice and compromise, but should not disempower us completely.   It is easy to people-please or jump into group-think to keep the peace, to agree with others to avoid conflict. But if we do this too long, what is the cost?

Years of people-pleasing can leave a person weak and flaccid, unable to remember who they were in the first place.  Many of us have learned to remember ourselves as sacred, but this doesn’t make our jobs any easier.  Let this lunation reveal to you how to cultivate healthy boundaries, to communicate them from a space of love.  To hold the space you need for  healing in your body and mind with compassion for the collective consciousness which we are all affected by.

Venus trine Jupiter in Aquarius says- when we choose to honor our own perspective as valid we must relegate to the fact that we will sometimes go against the grain.  You were not born to conform.  Our personal truth will not always please those around us.  It will not get us the “approval” of others that we may be addicted to, or desiring.  It may make others uncomfortable.  But it will shift us away from shoving down our personal truth, needs, rights and voice just to keep the peace.  It will bring us into our personal liberation, which is the prerequisite for peace.

True power empowers others.  Self-respect is always respectful of others.  The heart of peace creates peace.  Only love begets love.

The Libran image is a blindfolded woman holding the scales of balance in one hand and the sword of justice in the other. She is fighting for justice through turning inward for her truth and liberation so that it may serve as the great balance she seeks.  The sword cuts away delusion.  The balance sought in Libra is attainable through our dedication in Virgo to the cultivation of mindfulness and self refinement which serves the collective.  The Libran dedication to peaceful resolution is what brings justice.

The scales are not about a perfect balance that lasts and lasts.  It is about the pendulum swing, the gentle breeze that flows to and fro, the natural tides of life, ideals and truth.  And for a moment in the shifting winds, there is a still point.  The woman in the blindfold is in that place of inner stillness.  This is the space that  we  find the clarity that we seek.

Justice may not be getting what we deserve, but finding the best solution for the moment, with awareness that truth is subjective.  At other times it is knowing what it will not compromise in its aim for justice.  This is a moment in time to make sure we have deeply analyzed, purified and integrated the root of our values and ideals.  The more real we are with our personal process, the more we can serve others on their road to personal truth and freedom.

To attain Virgo attainment of purity, we must cleanse through the waters of Pisces our delusions and fantasies that keep us from that purity of consciousness.  We must know that in any effort to perfect something, chaos is always around the corner.  It is not about reaching a static state of perfection, but seeing the perfection in the process.  Of rejoicing in the alignment of how we live our daily lives with the greater cosmic rhythms, and the willingness to surrender, even in action.

Balance does not happen overnight.  Neither does the great shifting of the ages we are within.  May we be gentle and kind as we navigate the winds of change.  May we hold to the love of the Virgo-Libra energies in the skies right now asking us to remain dedicated to peace and service to one another and the Earth as we work towards a more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.

Blessings and Balance,

Zoey Wind
